Switching between the trackpad and the rest of the gamepad is a bit jarring, but otherwise okay (using official layout)
No issues of note, and the controls work a lot better on Steam Deck than they would on a traditional gamepad (or even the Switch in portable mode). Trackpads make this a pleasant experience.

Works perfectly out of the box!
No noticeable issues from my short gameplay (made it to one star in my town). I'd recommend playing this with a mouse and keyboard or a gamepad with a trackpad (Steam Deck, Dualsense) as this game was built around having a good pointer. The right stick of a gamepad just won't cut it.
If there's one thing that I'd love to see, it'd be readding support for the Wii remote :3

This can be worked around by using Steam input and you can play the game with no issues
Can load into Create A Sim with no issues, Play the game even save the game with ease
The game is marketed to have proper controller support
The requirements are insanely low even an old Thinkpad and really good to kill time

Disabled touch screen
Audio may loop incorrectly and keep playing the same song over and over
Using the touch screen will cause your controls to bug out
EA is apparently working on the game to improve its Linux compatibility. Just wait.

Works out of the box
Tested through the entire tutorial until I was able to save. Unsurprising as there was already an older PC port.
