One of the logos at game startup doesn´t display an image, but the game is perfectly playable from start to finish.

I was disapointed after seeing it had a platinum tag, but the performance was terrible for me no matter the proton version I tried
Missing Geometry during cinematics
Stutters and hitches
Runs better on Linux than on Windows

Runs flawless
The game runs fine, also no problems with not playing videos as some other people reported here. Playing with Steam (flatpak) and default Proton 9.0-4 without any tinkering. Performance is good, playing @1440p on the highest quality preset @100% rendering resolution without any upscaling or frame generation between 90-120 fps if "unlocked" (meaning max. 120, the game won't allow more).

Overall, the game runs fine out of the box. The in-game video issue is minor and doesn't affect gameplay.
Some of the in-game videos don't work, they show color bars. This is probably due to proprietary codecs.

I played this in 4k on Fedora 40. I run a 3080ti and 5900x. Full screen. No RT, all settings high. FPS remained between 50-60 (~20ms delay?). No weird stutters or glitches, and ZERO crashes. Experiment with your graphic settings if Ryu feels sluggish.
Small issues I noticed: -The opening Team Ninja cut scene with the ocean shows a rainbow screen for me; does not work at all. But it causes no problems. Just skip past it. -In the tutorial notes you pickup throughout the beginning, the embedded gifs are broken the same as above. -Ch.15 had some textures that loaded in blurry at times.

Game is very smooth (40 FPS) wih some changes in game display settings :
- D. Mode : windowed
- vsync : off
- FPS limit: 60
- FPS limit(event): 30 ( this is for the cutscenes only )
- HDR: off ( very bad with HDR)
GENERAL :
- presets : custom
- super resolution type: AMD FSR3
- AMD FSR3: Quality
- Sharpness: 0.0
- Frame generation: on ( you need to use windowed display mode otherwise the display will be flicking)
- Ray tracing: off
- anisotropic filtering: 16x
- Shadow quality: Standard
- effects quality: best quality
- global illumination : Standard
- reflections: standard
- foliage: standard
Post effects:
- only turn on the lens flare and bloom .
Changes in steam deck overlay :
- frame limiter : 40fps
- TDP: 15W
- GPU frequency: 1600mhz.
OBS: you can use proton experimental or custom GE Proton 9-5 . The game needs to be with these settings with you can maintain 40 FPS stable and smooth, otherwise the game will be unstable. I tested almost 3 hours with all settings and these are the only ones that works pretty well. The game will be with power consumption at 21.5 w because is a very power demanding game because of the unreal engine 5. The game is an amazing Remake of ninja gaiden 2 series, the graphics and mechanics are excelent . I highly recommend for all fans of the franchise like me . I hope it help you.

While it runs really good (compared it with a Windows 11 system), the missing audio for voices are unfortunate.
Japanese & English voices not playing in cutscenes
Will probably reinstall it after the next system update to see if it fixes the audio error.

Just click play and enjoy this hack n slash madness!!
Working perfectly on linux.

No tinkering necessary, works out of the box. Low fps during cutscenes but otherwise very smooth.

Besides the Team Ninja logo video not playing, I haven't been able to detect any issues on Day 1. I did no tinkering.
The Team Ninja logo video doesn't play; there's just audio. However, the actual cutscenes in the game so far all played without any issue. It's only that one logo video.
I would have installed Windows 11 to play this game, this would have been a Linux dealbreaker for me. Luckily, the game works out-of-the-box with absolutely no tinkering, I didn't even force any specific proton version; just whatever Steam chose for me. The only issue is that the Team Ninja logo video only has audio, but I skip that one anyway. The game runs smoothly, plays in full screen and windowed mode, my Xbox Series controller worked just fine (i only play with a wire), found no issue with audio... Couldn't be happier!

Fonctionne parfaitement avec proton 9.0-4
Pas de dialogue en sortie 5.1
