Using the GOG version, overwriting the WAIL32 and adding the MSS32 DLLs from this repo made music work: https://github.com/MildewMan1/DeadlockFixes
Originally missing audio - had to tinker
Game would not start without tinkering
If you don't mind playing some other music while playing since the Audio isn't working it is still enjoyable.
As other reports I had to rename WAIL32.DLL and have the game fall back to the 16 bit version.
Renaming the DLL seems to kill audio
When clicking on radio options with text the text would often go away
It is impossible to play without tinkering
Deleted wail32.dll and the game was able to progress past the intro screen and play.
I was unable to get any of the music to play at all. Outside of the intro movie there was no sound except voice samples.
When given a dialogue box with a radio button, clicking the radio button causes the text to the right of the radio button to disappear. Annoying but, not anything that would prevent the game from being played.
As far as I can tell there is no option for a full screen mode for this game.
fix: rename WAIL32.DLL to WAIL32.DLL.bak
No background music.
Works fine with all Proton versions from 3.16-9 up to 5.13-6 (did not test with newer ones)
Pretty much same experience as others. I really missed this game (because nostalgia).
Opening videos play, but still can't get initial dialog boxes to load.
Opening videos play, but opening dialog box to start or load game does not load
