-w
The mouse frequently leaves behind multicolored boxes. No known way of stopping this from happening but, changing screens or opening a menu causes these to go away.
The game defaults to full screen but, full screen does not work. After the startup movies play, full screen mode very briefly shows the main menu then goes dark. I was not able to click any of the buttons in the menu. The only known fix is to start the game in windowed mode with -w in steam's launch option box.
Deleted wail32.dll and the game was able to progress past the intro screen and play.
I was unable to get any of the music to play at all. Outside of the intro movie there was no sound except voice samples.
When given a dialogue box with a radio button, clicking the radio button causes the text to the right of the radio button to disappear. Annoying but, not anything that would prevent the game from being played.
As far as I can tell there is no option for a full screen mode for this game.
Game takes 3 or 4 minutes to open, otherwise it seems to work fine once it decides to run.
Use proton GE to get this game to function properly and be patient for it when it opens.
I was unable to get the game to run in windowed mode. Supposedly adding -w to the argument forces it to run in windowed mode but, this did not work for me. Alt-tabbing works okay. Game only recgonizes Intel built-in graphics card but, appears to run at full speed.
Needs minor tinkering. Add the following .dll files to the executable folder and it should run fine with Proton 9.0-2:
DDraw.dll D3DImm.dll D3D8.dll D3D9.dll

Unplayable - Steam/GOG+Lutris
I used both Steam with Proton GE and GOG with Lutris but, both brought similar results. I was able to boot up into the main menu but clicking on any of the sub menus results in a black backgrounds with white rectanlages. Using different versions of WINE/Proton did not change anything.
