DX12 on nvidia gpu doesn't perform well
The game doesn't seem to close correctly, closing the game via steam client is recommended
Nvidia gpu's needs that launch option to fix the crash on launch
Black Window opens and then closes after some seconds. No way to get the game started - also tried some start up options.

Funny game which is running fine with the same small Bugs and graphic issues as playing on Windows
One Thing i noticed is that my GPU ran into the 110°C with uncapped FPS. Limiting it to to 90 FPS lowers this drastically. Raytracing is also working and enabled.

Game closes after showing a black window for a few seconds
Game crashes instantly, tried multiple proton version (Default, Experimental, GE), to launch it with gamescope, to switch to X instead of Wayland, to move it to an ext4 partition from a btrfs one but to no avail.
Resolved by swithing to proton experimental

Game launches in borderless fullscreen, but the image is just part of the screen, with the rest being black space. The cursor location on the image is relative to the full screen size. Changing to windowed mode, maximise the window, then re-applying borderless. This must be done every time the game is launched.
Plays just fine. Multiplayer and crossplay. You'll need to manually close Ubisoft when you're done playing.

Game crashes after splash screen
Game crashes after splash screen. Looks like it tries to open in window mode with a black window, but then closes. Tried several protons, and loading a settings ini from a working Windows install to no avail.

When you've been listening to the Pirates of the caribbean theme music and have a sudden desire to be a pirate.

The game kicks you after the game has loaded within 1-5 seconds with the following Battley EYE related error code: "EIDER - 0000A000" and has done since the game was able to be started a few GE-Proton versions ago (Since about GE-Proton9-8) and same again with Proton Experimental.
The game it self mechanically seems perfectly fine.
Untll whatever beef the game's Battle-Eye has with Proton/Linux is fixed the game is unplayable
