Game runs as good as it does on Windows as it does on Linux. I use Debian and was initially using X11 for compatability for specific software and the game does not under any circumstances (changing compatability in protonfixes, for example) launch in X11. Only upon switching back to Wayland was I able to get the game to function.

runs 60 fps on mid/low settings. very rarely fps drops to 30-40 in cutscenes. full battery allows to play for about 3 hours.

Game runs FLAWLESSLY, you have a few options when it comes to performance but no heavy tinkering required here 😄
Lowered FPS to 40, but 60 is possible with low settings!!
Very surprised with performance on this great game so far. You can knock everything to low and opt for 60fps, you can do what I did and go for a 40fps target at medium and some high settings or high @ 30fps. Works great out of the box if changing settings is not your thing.

Demo Ran Perfectly
The demo uses DX11 by default. I did not try DX12.

Demo ran (near) flawlessly out of the box
Demo ran flawlessly out of the box, no tweaks or changes needed. Only issue was one crash over the course of ~3 hours of playtime.
Sometimes the framerate went a bit down, when you move fast through the maps. Bossfights never had problem.

Gore looks promising
The game runs without any issue, just install it and that's it. Coming from Doom Eternal gore looks really nice

The game ran flawlessly on CachyOS Linux with Proton, super smooth and optimized. Congrats to the devs for such great Linux support!
The game ran flawlessly on my system, without requiring any additional setup like adding commands or making manual adjustments. I simply used the version of Proton provided by my distro, CachyOS Linux, and the performance was incredibly smooth. The experience was seamless and highly optimized, showcasing the care and quality of the development team. Congratulations to the team for delivering such a well-adapted and optimized game for Linux! It's truly satisfying to see titles running this well on our operating system.
