for some reason it defaulted to 1080p when first launched. just change it to 720p
Looks like the game works perfectly now. Played roughly 40 minutes and did 3 missions without issues
Audio logs and cutscenes work without issues

Installed to MicroSD Card with Case Sensitivity turned on.
Managed to fix not being able to see cutscenes by using the GE Proton 7-29. Upon start up with the GE Proton it crashed the whole Deck and restarted it. Upon trying again it got to the start up options screen and crashed after clicking "Play." Third try it made it through all initializations, played the tutorial level flawlessly, and played the cut scenes perfectly, no colored bars. Upon cursory inspection, all works properly with this Proton.
---Just in case, I also have the game installed to a MicroSD card with Case Sensetivity active. This may also contribute to stability of the game itself as it worked fine from the get go as far as playability. Just couldn't see any cut scenes, and the GE Proton has fixed that thus far.

Can't really give a good verdict, since I refuse to play until the cut-scenes work. The gameplay on the tutorial seemed fine though.
Cutscenes don't work, instead the screen displays SMPTE color bars.
Also tried proton 7.0rc6-GE-1, but that just crashed the game on startup
Launch command: d3dcompiler_47
This an issue with Steam Proton in some titles lately. The controller works with Proton-GE in other titles but GE crashes one boot with this title.
The videos don't work in game using Steam Proton.

Requires 'd3dcompiler_47' to launch.
Seems to have trouble with resolutions. In order to fix, go into Settings->Graphics and set to Windowed, then Alt-Tab out and back in. Then set your resolution to the correct resolution for your monitor.
It is also possible to go into your compatdata folder (compatdata/257030/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/ProjectNimbus/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor) and modify the GameUserSettings.ini file with the correct settings directly.
After some more playing, performance seems to vary, but seems better then I had originally thought.
The launcher does not work and will generate a black window when launching. Fortunately, the launcher can be bypassed by adding '%command% complete' as an advanced launch option.

Requires 'dxcompiler_47' to run.

Performance seems significantly worse compared to Windows - game is relatively choppy given the age and hardware.
Launcher does not work. Will display a black window with no controls when you attempt to boot the game. However, the launcher can be bypassed by entering 'complete' as an advanced launch option.
Black box comes up but nothing happens. Tried multiple Protons.

Still broken, game exits/crashes upon launch.
Can't even get into the game. Tried Proton 5.0-9 and Proton 5.9-GE-2-MF.

The complete edition will not launch, the original version at least seems to play with no hitches

Simply cannot start.
