I can launch the game but cannot press the buttons.

All good but a side note: this game uses SDL2 and as such if you tinker a lot with your system you may be forcing SDL2 to use Wayland via the SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland
environment variable. This completely breaks the game when running on Proton as the window will fail to appear, and also kinda breaks the native version of the game (the window will appear and you can play, but switching vsync on/off will cause the window to disappear until game restart)
Fixed when rolling back Proton
Running native breaks all inputs
In summary, when running Steam's default compatability or Native, the game may suffer from audio or input bugs (see notes). I found that forcing compatability back to Proton 6.3-8 fixes all issues and runs perfectly. Valve should re-review their verification status on this game, just to be sure.
Native works perfectly fine
Steam input kills the controller, disable it and it works perfectly fine
native takes a long while to launch for whatever reason, other than that it's seamless
I experienced heavy audio crackling.
This game should not be listed as verified. I couldn't fix the audio crackling, so I can't recommend this on the deck right now.

Works fine on Proton
