Was able to read the prologue without problems (the text is just big enough on Steam Deck), but it was freezing after playing the opening video when using the default Proton version (9.0-2 as I write this). Switching to Proton 8.0-5 fixes this.

Running on Proton 8.0-4, SteamOS is currently experiencing a GPU bug where the GPU flashes between 200mhz-1040mhz even in a game as simple as Stella of The End which causes framtime issues & worse FPS averages to the Non-Steam. Not the fault of the VN, Valve pushed a bug to the Stable channel, that's their fault.
