Installing OpenPlanet also works perfectly, but does require installing vcrun2022
to work, and launch options WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
RADV_PERFTEST=gpl gamemoderun %command%
Runs better than some linux native games.
I had to install of my Trackmania ^2 games so that Mania planet worked properly. After that all of my issues were fixed.
gamemoderun mangohud obs-gamecapture DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
No issues at all. Smooth 120fps(capped of course) gameplay
Can't log in
gamemoderun %command%
Almost identical performance as you'd have on Windows. GameMode get's rid of the frequent stuttering I had experienced with standard Proton 6.3 and 7.0 (probably due to unstable frame times; FPS were fine according to Steam). Definite improvement over Proton alone.
Installs, Launches, Can't Login
My keyboard input was broken, so i couldn't login into my maniaplanet account, which also means i can't play any of the trackmania versions i have
Subtle stuttering on medium sized maps; 10 - 15% less FPS compared to Windows
occasionally times are invalidated online or server kicks me out (network issue somehow)
newer Proton versions don't work, game doesn't launch
Maniaplanet requires the touchscreen to navigate, which can be mildly inconvenient if you're playing on a TV.
As stated before, while the game runs, the performance is quite unstable.
Well, the game is playable but the performance is quite bad. Compared to Windows I would say 2 if not 3 times lower fps on same graphical presets.
Works out of the box without any significant problems.
Old Microsoft Sidewinder Wheel, unfortunately reversed settings.
Works flawlessly.
Works great out of the box
It sometimes happen that fullscreen (or borderless window) leaves a space at the bottom (as if there were a start menu). Hopefully disabling then re enabling fullscreen solves the issue
After using the steam overlay, the mouse can no longer focus. Some player made mods may not work as good
Everything works great!
Seems to run just as well as it did on Windows, both in single and multiplayer. I initially thought the sound was broken, but that was just because my PS4 controller made itself the default audio output. (The PS4 controller works just fine with this game on Linux, by the way.)
Map making and everything worked. Multiplayer was not tested.
Runs very good. Didn't notice any lag with 165hz monitor
game runs absolutely perfectly, although i can't get it to pick up the ps3 controller (as x360). (this could be my fault, though, was messing with trying to get it running in bluetooth mode like i used to in windows). i've seen no signs of misbehaviour, from physics, to graphics, and sound. so it's platinum. (i've not yet tested stadium, but valley passed a casual glance as well)
Motion blur in video settings makes the graphics all messed up and the game resets some video settings upon restart so I need to disable it every time I launch the game. Other than that the game runs perfectly.
Its perfectly fine but in "low" graphics
Everything worked fine, only comment is that installing the other trackmania games via steam does not share the files, so for example, opening valley but trying to play stadium will require downloading the files again (therefore duplicated on your machine)
Tested Single,Multi,Online,Splitscreen,Custom Maps,Workshop and every Graphics Settings. For now no issues...
Got some audio crackling after multiple hours of gameplay.
Works flawlessly. Tested single- and multiplayer with custom maps and music.
No issues what so ever
Doesn't always start (4 out of 5 times). Antialiasing does not work.
