Seems that the Steam version is fine... wish I wasn't DRM alergic and bought it there instead of GoG

Flawless time waging war on Termites!
Worked perfectly during my playtime both in campaign and multiplayer (no coop..doh!). Near constant 60FPS at 1440p with medium settings. Played with a controller and tested with mouse and keyboard both of which works fine.
May need to install Visual C++ runtime with protontricks 2287330 vcrun2022
Mouse capture wasn't reliable on Fullscreen with two monitors. Had to disable one monitor.
Pheromone interaction animations (including at the end of the first mission) reliably crashed the game with Proton 9.0-3. Switching to Proton Experimental (9.0-20241022) fixed the issue.
Disabling steam overlay resulted in a strange side effect (also reported for other games). After 30-45 minutes of playing, camera view permanently began to badly stutter as if from a very low frame rate, though animations remained smooth with camera still. Only fix was to restart game. Make sure you enable the steam overlay if this happens to you.

Been running well for over 3 hours.
Played for a few minutes and was workign well, I did have tion install an unreal update through a basic UI with the touch screen but after that it ran perfectly fine except for some edge jaggedness here and there.
