I was experiencing frequent crashes like others have reported here. I headed into properties and changed compatability to Proton Experimental then went to general and changed game resolution to 1280 x 800. Have now played for an hour and a half crash free. Runs perfectly now.
Occasional crashes while playing Metal Gear 2 make things frustrating meaning chunks of the game need to be played over if it's been a while since saving
Manuals would display errors

El juego necesita el comando para limitar los FPS a 60 o sino va demasiado deprisa. Al hacer Alt+TAB y volver, el juego se queda en modo ventana y no puedes ganar el control de nuevo hasta que pulses el botón START del mando de Xbox.

Game runs too fast if framerate is uncapped. Limit framerate to 60 FPS by adding DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command% to launch options.
10-20 seconds between going fullscreen and windowed.
For the record, this is the MSX version.
