After installing GE Proton and reinstalling the game to a different directory than my previous report, I am now able to run the game fine with no issues.

Game fails to launch

Game installed fine. After clicking the Play button the first time, I was notified as usual that it would use Steam Play and then...nothing. The game shows it is running for about 3 seconds and then it stops and the Play button is again available. I've tried to launch again after verifying the most recent version of Steam and a restart of the Steam client but no luck.
