Clicking menu items was quite difficult but possible. This issue disappeared when I tried the (not recommended) DX11 launch option.
This performs poorly on windows 10 as well. If you want 4k native at high settings a 4090 won't really cut it.
The big take away for me was that this game recognised my Radiomaster Pocket over USB though Proton. Sofar this only worked on native FPV sims like Lift Off for me. When runing a sim with Proton I was only ever able to map the radio with steam input and that seems to unfortunately add latency. DCL is a good exmple of this still not working. I'm not sure what black magic makes this game able to recognise my radio, but I kind of like it. ;)

Buttons sometimes not or very hard to press
I think it should work with the "official" proton version, i just have GE installed for other things, so i'm using this instead.
Also, this is on Wayland + KDE 6 and basically as bleeding edge as you can get on NixOS.

Starts up but doesn't detect any controllers (Radiomaster Boxer or 8BitDo Pro 2), which makes it unplayable.
Tryp wouldn't detect my radio (Radiomaster Boxer), or a normal gamepad controller (8BitDo Pro 2). I tried every USB Joystick mode and interface on the radio, and I tried the controller with Steam Input both on and off, it made no difference. Since a controller of some sort is required to fly if it can't detect a controller it's unplayable.
The Radiomaster Boxer works with every other FPV Simulator on Steam that I've tried: LiftOff, LiftOff: Micro Drones, FPV.SkyDive & FPV Logic, and Velocidrone too (outside of Steam). All of them detect it as a Boxer and Just Work, but not Tryp.

Random input detections
Very fluid with some freezes in the beginning that sometimes lead to a full freeze of the game, crashing the whole system if I don't kill the game fast enough.

Calibrating the controller gimbals proved to be a challenging task; I had to make multiple attempts and restart several times before finally achieving proper calibration. Additionally, clicking on buttons with the mouse was difficult, as they behaved strangely and required several attempts before responding.
Although I have set almost all graphics settings to the lowest (only View Distance Quality is on Medium, while all others are on Low), I still experience occasional framerate drops, and the flying is far from smooth. Perhaps my hardware is not sufficient for optimal performance.

With proton 8.0-2 the game won't launch but with 7.0-2 it's good. I don't need to launch trypfpv on windows, it's very nice :)
"The game works very well. I had to modify the launch options to run the game with DirectX 11."
Il faut télécharger tout le jeu en changeant de version une première fois sinon steam n'installe pas tout.
Encore plus fluide que sur windaube !

Proton Experimental resulted in "Fatal Error"; forced to use Proton Next.

Right trackpad As Mouse with click set to LMB
Out of the FPV simulators I have tried, this one has the best deck experience out of the box.
Initially set up the controller with gamepad using the onscreen calibration. Menus all worked with controller prompts. The default rates were good for a gamepad.
Overall great experience with no hassle.

Black screen - error message
Does not launch on nVidia 515 with any of Proton 7.0-3, ProtonGE 7-20, proton-experimental.
