Use Hardware Cursor to fix mouse lag
Enabling Hardware Cursors makes the game crash when stopped. Has no impact on anything else
Great game! If you are sensitive to mouselag enable hardware cursors in settings

gamemoderun %command%
The game itself works flawlessly, though it seems to keep running in the background when you exit the game. Pressing the "Stop" button in Steam resolves this issue.

prime-run %command%
Works out of the box, only need prime-run for Optimus laptops as usual
Just works from out of the box with no tricks, Linux is ready for desktop gaming!

prime-run %command%
Works, just need the usual prime-run or gamemoderun when you are using Optimus
Works perfectly on my Linux/Lenovo PC.

Working flawlessly with GE-Proton9-27. With Steam Proton, Campaign video freezes, rendering you unable to start the first mission.
Tried only skirmish and campaign so far, but running perfectly without any video or audio issues after switching to GE-Proton9-27. Have not tried Multiplayer. Check https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom?tab=readme-ov-file#installation on how to include GE-Proton in Steam. I did not know about that and fiddled around with Lutris and HGL but would not get the game to start on those.
Only a few missions in so far, but playing very well on a Steam Deck with mouse + keyboard on a monitor

game-performance %command%
Theoretically no tinerking needed. Just used game-performance as it is nessecary in cachyOS because powere profiles are handled different here.

Everything will work flawlessly using the 'GE-Proton9.0-4' proton version. If you have any issues just switch to this version.
The game worked perfectly on proton hotfix and experemintal in skirmish and online mode; however, the campaign mode was always getting stuck on the loading screen.
so I had to switch to proton GE9.0-4 and after to switching that everything worked flawlessly.
Everything will work flawlessly with any proton version accept for the campaign mode. if your campaign mode gets stuck at loading screen just switch to this proton version 'GE-Proton9.0-4' proton version and all issues will be solved without any problems.

Fixed via PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30
Mainly issue with audio

Only played the campaign mode, but it ran flawlessly.

Game runs incredibly well. It's also fun to play. Super happy with the release :)
no problems!
gamemoderun %command%
works out of the box

Game would hang in the campaign loading screen. I had to switch to GE-Proton9-22 (higher version may also work, didn't try).
I was able to play campaign normally after all
Game plays pretty well aside from some mild audio issues. It might be my SDAC and not the game to be honest.

Limited Initial Playtime but Flawless, Didn't Try an Online Match
Got advanced access from purchasing Deluxe edition and it works out of the box, as far as I can tell. Steady framerate on Ultra with no observable bugs.

Without GE, the game would run sluggish (below 30 FPS) and only skirmish would load. Campaign would get stuck on an infinite loading screen.
(Demo version) Offline mode works out of the box

Could nit set resolution, lmao. foirced to use DLSS and shit.
Only works if I use proton experimental. By default uses AMD (integrated gpu) In this case it don't require proton experimental. need to forece it into using dedicated GPU.
I have AMD CPU and nVidia dedicated GPU.
I didn't try Multipluyer proper. But verified that lobby works.

[MP Demo] IS broken on default proton version and nVidia

I've got balck screen when I started scrimish. I could see UI and minimap (with POI shown but not actual map) and everithing hangs, even mosue isn't moving, and GPU usage drops to zero.
not playble on nvidia on default proton version.

It works on built in AMD cards, but performance is poor (not Linux related)
Well. Integrated GPU sucks, but I wasn't able to play normally even on low settings. Got below 20 FPS.
And game don't allow to change resolutuion. On;y use upskale shit.
It works on prpton on AMD as perfect as it could be, I guess. It's just performs bad on such videocards. I belive it would be the same on M$ Winshit
[Demo] 100% unplayable: the intro takes minutes to load and stutters at 0,5 image per second or less. I cannot even see the main menu.

GDF mission brief video led to crash, reloaded with proton 9-6. Skipping video also worked.
The demo worked perfectly on the ROG Ally (with mouse and keyboard) on Bazzite Linux, looking forward to the official release

Wouldn't start with regular proton, switched to Experimental and it was an instant success
Trouble free playing the demo!

Excited to see the full version when it comes out!

I have enjoyed this game, the fractions are interesting. It remings me of old CNC just with better graphics.
I have played both fractions. The gameplay is on both fractions playable. BUT the Dynasty fraction has a bug the whole intro video stops, even when you try to skip the intro it just freezes the game. But sometimes it does not, and you can play then normaly.
One more thing I pleayed a DEMO of this game because the full release is not on steam yet. The DEMO is freely available on the steam page.

gamemoderun %command%
Last time I tried, I couldn't get started with the campaign. It's working fine now using the latest GE-Proton8.

It hangs and crashes to the desktop when starting the campaign.
gamemoderun %command%
The cut scene after the "deploy" stutters always at the same point, and then it hangs and crashes to the desktop when starting the campaign. I also tried with GE-proton8-13 and ESYNC/FSYNC combination and got the same results.
Around 30 FPS

Mouse feels 'floaty' like software rendering on an old pc
THIS IS THE PLAYTEST VERSION - runs fine on GE-Proton, mouse was laggy but that could be the game itself.

Can't get past intro videos
THIS IS THE PLAYTEST VERSION - hangs then eventually crashes to desktop
