I improved FPS by using decky loader + framegen.

Works as good as on Windows
There are random slowdowns on some arenas and during some fights, but I had them even on Win 11 with any settings. Overall the experience is decent

The lockups while playing single player would be a nonstarter for most gamers, especially if they bleed into the multiplayer.
Locks up mid-game lasting 10-20 seconds
Mid game pauses for 10-20 seconds
I haven't tested multiplayer, it's a fun game, works with a USB controller with steam interpreting it, but I haven't found a way around the mid-match lockups yet.

Use Proton Experimental

The game actually looks really good at 720p low settings and I only had one or two micro stutters but the rest was running around 50-55 FPS
text is small but not too difficult to read up close
Every so often the game would freeze for about 2 seconds becuase the FPS would drop and then go back to normal.
Run the game at 720p low settings. I was getting 50-55 fps while gaming with an occasional micro stutter. I haven't tried limiting the FPS to 40 in steam's menu though or using FSR at all.

Doesn't work since the last update of the game, after logging into the session - black screen on the steam deck

The new update as of 7 September breaks the game on Steam Deck. Game launches but crashes on all loading screens.
Game unplayable as of the current update

Offline > 15 - 48 FPS. Online > 08 - 22 FPS.
08 - 22 FPS
Online > 08 - 22 FPS !
Offline > 10 - 48 FPS !
Decky Loader power tools smt off, cap refresh rate to 48hz, cap fps to 48, run game at very low settings for constant 40-48 fps offline. Haven't tried online play on deck yet.
refresh rate and fps cap
The game will crash on loading a fight if you play it at higher resolutions
I can run this game smooth enough to play at 35-45 fps
Here's all the settings
force resolution 1080x624 fps cap at 45 tdp and gpu lock is off frs 5 decky loader power tools smt off ( or set to 4 threads)
game settings vsync off all settings high except shadows at low crowd density at 25%
small fonts
Just follow those settings for now and you can enjoy it on your steam deck
Only main menu background wouldnt load
The game crash very often, also when we just want to go to settings, nearly unplayable although i'm at low graphic level
Very Low Framerates 20fps-30fps offline, 10-25fps online
Game kept crashing when trying to start a match offline or online, as well as trying to start training mode. Switched to Proton 7.0-5 and turned resolution to 720p, and gfx settings to low, fixed the crashing issue.
Framerate teetered between 10-25fps, and then was kicked from the match due to high ping and losing connection to the host.
Given that this game just released in early access a day prior to this review, there is plenty of room for improvement from the developers to better optimise the game to a more stable playable framerate, however at the moment this game is a bog to play on Steam Deck, both in handheld and desktop mode, offline and online (online being far worse).
Some versions of Proton are missing the interface video. GE-Proton7-43 worked best for me.
Game runs 20-45 fps regardless of graphic detail settings.
Game does not support monitor selection, so getting it to work in a secondary monitor can be tricky depending on your setup. My i3 setup required creating a shotcut to move to my external display because dragging to another workspace was not possible (game disables mouse).
Gamemode did not help. Using Radv AMD driver.
Nearly unplayable at this time, although i'm at low graphics the game launch but crash often
Unplayable at this time, the game crash also when I'm going to settings when on battle for example. I'm at low graphics.

The game crash and crash the Steam deck randomly and very often when I'm going to settings when on battle
Out of the box, even in early access, Undisputed runs like a champ.
not alt tab friendly at all; seemed like it worked a few times, but broke more often than not
Game's still in EA, but this was like butter. Hopefully they build off this feature set, cause this game is super fun in multiplayer.
Early Access game, but runs great out of the box. Been waiting 10 years for a legit boxing game on linux!

gamemoderun %command%
Online play between 10-40 fps, offline is 60.
Beta. 720p on low settings. only proton 7 seems to work, gamemode did not seem to make a difference
