Game works just fine. I also have asynchronous reprojection disabled per a comment below due to a bug.

At first the game crashed on me a lot, but I don't think it's an issue with Proton or the game. I think it's a general issue with Nvidias driver. With 470-beta adding:

    "steamvr" : {
        "enableLinuxVulkanAsync" : false
    }
}

to ~/.steam/steam/config/steamvr.vrsettings resolves the issue.
