Initial setup requires installing UE components. This caused a black screen at first, but worked out alright when I launched it a second time. You might need the touch screen or setting up cursor and mouse click controls to get through this.
Although you can adjust the interface and text size, it doesn't account for all interface and text. Some text is difficult to reach despite these settings.
I started a fresh save on my Steam Deck. Upon swapping to my PC the next day, progress seemed a bit confused. I swaped between my PC and the Deck throughout the day and cloud saves seem to be working properly.
Some maps can be very demanding. I have the graphics preset set to low and FPS locked to 30 and 'twisted nerve' still dropped occasionally. Not unplayable, but drops do happen.
It actually looks quite decent on the Deck with the lowest graphics preset. You can play it at 45 FPS if you need smooth gameplay, but I found 30 FPS to be more consistent and overall playable once I got used to it (took me a minute or two).
I didn't try multiplayer, but I hear it's pretty much unplayable. ProtonDB didn't give me the option to comment on that for whatever reason. Perfectly playable with the AI teammates, however, who are surprisingly competent.

Требуемые библитеки С++

On first launch you have to use the touchscreen twice to approve a UE/DirectX install.
The controller setup was way better than I expected. I only tested this to submit on here but now I'm going to start playing it away from my MKB setup.

Played on external screen, text legible that way
Crashed after extended session (2,5hrs+ continuos; installed on sdcard; forced deck to reboot)
More of a Desktop Game, have not tried with Gamepad; I attribute my crashes to the combination of long play time + game installed on sd card + playing docked

Playable at 60fps in low quality. Even if I don't recommend it on Steam Deck, it is certainly more enjoyable on a desktop PC
FPS drop in some maps

I was able to get ~50 FPS running it on my Steam Deck using an external display (resolution manually set to 1920x1080) and keyboard & mouse.
- DX11 (DX12 crashes when loading a level)
- Low graphic preset
- Fullscreen
- Motion Blur disabled
- Frame Limit set to 60
- FSR2 is off (Balanced boosts performance but also introduces graphical artifacts)

just error and error and error and error and error and error and error and error and error and error and error and error

There are performance drops while switcheing between different menus in the police station
Makes the console to freeze and crash after 2-3 missions of playing

Low settings, FSR2 Balanced, DX12, Forced 1024x640 internal/external resolution, Limit Frames to 45
Added Y key to right trackpad, and added left shift toggle setting for left stick press
Using lower res and FSR2 makes text hard to read
Unable
Game caused system to freeze sometimes
Tested on 1.0 with Steam Deck OLED

Froze system (SteamOS) when using omniwand
Runs amazingly with tweaks like lowering resolution, graphics >> low, and disabling different settings with a frame limt near 45. Save from PC using Steam Cloud worked perfectly.
Tested on 1.0 with Steam Deck OLED. Quick Google search of previous report shows launcher bug is not solely steam deck dependent (recomment verifying game integrity!).
Was able to clear half a house until I tried using an Omniwand and the entire Steam Deck became unresponsive. Absolutely playable, but it seems something about rendering another virtualized screen in the game breaks things.

when you try to startup its always beat an error

In game, runs at 24-40 fps but mostly on the low end
I think a great experience can be had as long as you are willing to put in the effort to make it work. The devs look as though they are trying to get this game more playable and I hope the Steam Deck is a part of that

as i said i changed tab which in the config i talked about has the left pause button as tab. this will bring up a menu with the obj but you can veiw them with esc.
just runs slow about 24fps
some black circles are around some maps where there is a light. this is very rare to see but does happen.
neon tomb and one other had fps problems and the garden area in vally of the dolls. other than that all good
it does get laggy and buggy when installing mods through mod.io after they are done installing then its fine.
this game run ok and overall is a good way to play this game i would recomend turning graphics down to your preference.
Requires a bit of tinkering and a reduction of resolution to play at a stable FPS that won't get in the way too much.
A lot of the text in the menu is small but readable. The mission select screen is so small it's unreadable. You can however use Steam Decks magnifier shortcut when necesary.
Without significant tweaks the game runs poorly.
I could not get FSR supported natively in-game even tho it is supported and shows up in the settings. However after following severns2's settings with slight adjustment to 45fps instead of 40 it seems to run fine.
So don't forget to put the resolution down in the Steam Properties and enable FSR through the quick settings menu. It also helps a lot against aliasing making identifying and targeting enemies.

Mission Select text is small
Stable 40fps Steam Deck Settings:
- Turn on per game config (Under performance settings)
- Put deck frame rate limiter to 40fps
- Put deck Refresh Rate to 40
- Turn on FSR (I put my sharpness at 3) under scaling
- Under the game properties, turn resolution to 1024x640 (Leave external and internal scale off), you can use the touchscreen to select the mission you want.
- In game, put quality at High, put frame limiter to 40fps
- Set in-game resolution scaling to 75%
Using the community controller config (Kingfisher's RoN NoJump v1) The controls from this community config were confusing at first, but after playing for a while here are some tips.
- Hold X for pressing the F key
- Press up on the dpad for orders, then use the buttons on the back of the device for selecting 1 - 4 (Top-left is 1, Top-right is 2, Bottom-left is 3, Bottom-right is 4)
- Hold down on the dpad to equip NVG etc
- Left and Right on the dpad changes between red, blue, yellow squad commands.
no controller support.
14 fps in the main menu, in game 40-50 fps on low
