First launch crashed before entering fullscreen. Second launch entered the game and I was able to play with friends. Mission selection map was a bit laggy but otherwise no performance or network issues.
Super easy. I installed in Heroic (all default settings). It adds a launcher for Steam. Everything is running great right from the Steam desktop client.
Game gets error about OS and crashes. Setting "PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=1 %command%" helps but dont fix.

As of 13 April 2022, It is now working for me using "Proton Experimental" and hiding my NVidia GPU with command line:
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=1 %command%
Now the Game is working and running great, played about 3 hours in single player mode and not One problem to report, graphics, sound, Keyboard & mouse all work as expected, and performance is great, no lag, no shuttering, as smooth as silk.
Stacked on "Creating session"
Everything works, almost... But it stacked on "Creating session". It also detects WINE somehow, as show me a message about "unsupported operation system". As my understanding -- they're using some kind of anti-cheat software (not EAC?), that are doesn't work on Linux. Bummer.
Almost there...
It comes up with an error but launches and all looks well but tried creating limited account and gets stuck at server step of getting into the game. Hopefully this gets fixed as I've heard cool things about this game
Game blocked by Anti Cheat
I actually wrote a mail to the devs, who kindly replied to me and said they added three anti cheat softwares, of which, they say, one is proprietary and the other two can't be disclosed. That's a hell of a lot of ACs!
Launches fine but can't connect
After installing I launched it and it opened without any tweak. I set the initial options, registered my Apex account and since then it says it can't host a multiplayer session, and that's the only thing I see now, no other menus or options to change.
Does not run.
The game does not run. Play button changes to Cancel and back to Play again. I Tried Proton experimental and 5.13-6

Game at launch warns about an unsupported operating system, then propose to continue or cancel. Game Launcher appear then crash report is generated.
The crash report is available at this step, so maybe someone familiar can get an eye on it...

The game runs fine. Frame-rate was similar to running on Windows. I only experienced a few very minor graphical glitches.
When entering the map textures went red and green for a split second
The minor graphical glitches we just things like models pop-in and minor details being out of place but some of those may have just been down to the fact the game is in Early Access.
I haven't been able to try multi-player but from what I gather, the game is online only so I would expect it to work.
Borked since Hotfix#6 (3/3/21)
UPDATE: Since the 3/3/2021 patch, the game does not start anymore. Tried with different Proton versions and launch settings w/o success.
Works great, performance good!
Launched and played just fine without any tweaks at all. There doesnt appeear to be any Proton-induced slowdown, and played on my high refresh monitor without any resolution scaling needed!
Using Glorious Eggroll 5.21-GE1, no launch options added. During the install, I picked an Apex Limited account (can be changed later). Single player seems to be working great. Played multiplayer, but was the only one in party since there were no players in lobby (or matchmaking failed?) Fun but hard game.
Game worked first time but sadly login issues wont let you play a 2nd time.
Keyboard input felt as if it was a half second delayed
Could not play 2nd time due to login issue (Unsure if saves are working or not)
Game played perfectly besides input lag first time, but 2nd time playing the game could not login to apex account
