Performance is pretty decent out of the box, but you'll still need to do some tinkering in order to get a smooth 60 FPS.
Mouse cursor was very laggy in the main menu, but once in the game, controls were snappy and working properly.
Running it at 4k resolution, I couldn't get steady 60 FPS with everything set to Epic
I had to crank most down to High
, while lowering both 'Anti-Aliasing' and 'Post Processing' down to Medium
.
Only then I could run it at a stable 60.
Could not rebind keys
Settings
All settings were cranked up to Epic, except for Blur and V-Sync which were turned off.
Frame Rate Limit was also set to Unlimited.
Note: That DLSS was disabled for me (I'm guessing due to running it in DirectX11 mode)
Overlay
Running this with DirectX11 bindings, neither MangoHud
nor the default Steam FPS overlay worked. To get it working I've had to pass in the DXVK_HUD
variable at launch time.
You can configure it the way you like it (see here), but for a quick start, here's what I've run it with:
DXVK_HUD=devinfo,fps,frametimes,memory,gpuload %command%
You need to paste the above in the game's Properties -> Set Launch Options config
A very demanding game, but looks gorgeous as a result
This is a very demanding game. I've had to crank a lot of settings down in order to barely keep above 60 FPS on 4k.
But even so, the graphics on this game are gorgeous.
Here's the settings I've ran for 4k 60 FPS:
Resolution: 3840x2160
Fullscreen
Texture Quality: Medium
Texture Filtering: 2x
Shadows Quality: Low
Geometry Quality: Medium
Realtime Reflections: Off
Motion Blur: Off
SSAO: Off
Render Scale: 100%
Anti-Aliasing: Off
(Running FXAA
here shaves off about 5 FPS, so your call)
Depth of Field: Off
Alt-Tab-ing crashes the game
