The vast majority of the game works fine but again videos are completely absent
No Videos at all
Videos are encoded in MPEG1 format so installing LAVFilters and Quartz to the Proton Wine Prefix using WineTricks should get the videos working.
Game doesn't start whatsoever.
Trying different proton versions, different launch options etc
Not sure if it's something to do with Wayland or something but the game refuses to start no matter what I try. Launch options, different proton versions, the works, no dice. Steam shows it's running but nothing actually pops up no matter what I try. As of right now, at least on Fedora, it's utterly borked
Controller support is borked. Use the community steam input mapping.
Game runs at around 50 to 60 fps at best dropping to the high 30's/low 40's at the worst on all medium settings
Playable, somehow. All medium settings, needs custom steam input mapping. Surprised it even works frankly
The game works but like most visual novels under proton, the title is unable to play any cutscenes out of the box.
Videos not working at all
Due to this title using WMV encoded video cutscenes, installing codecs into the proton wine prefix might be extra difficult especially since the prefixes are 64 bit by default. I haven't been able to get any codecs working as of yet
Absolutely flawless on deck, perfect out of the box. Controls map fine, game plays fine, sounds great, looks great, absolutely perfect.
Some text is a bit small out of the gate but that's just due to the nature of the game
A very playable overall experience, did need to drop settings to low and cap at 40fps but once you do that it runs at a pretty solid framerate without any major issues. May benefit from fiddling with FSR but haven't really tried that yet
