Got the movies working in wine;
In winecfg, set os to windows xp, add library overrides for quartz as (native,builtin), for winegstreamer as disabled, install quartz with winetricks.On wine 5.13 or later (or manually install devenum on earlier versions).
Not tested on proton 5.13 or 5.0.
Incidentally, screen blacking out when touching the top does not happen on wine 5.10 (or earlier idk)
will black out when switching on certain versions of wine
To get the movies working:
Install quartz with winetricks
In winecfg, add "quartz" as (native,builtin) and "winegstreamer" as (disabled)
will black out if mouse hits the top of the screen
To get the movies working:
use proton 5.0-10
Install quartz with protontricks 1033420 quartz
In winecfg, protontricks 1033420 winecfg
add "quartz"
as
"(native,builtin)"
and
"winegstreamer"
as
"(disabled)"
To cap the framerate:
use libstrangle, build and install it, then In launch options put: strangle 60 %command%
The patch can be installed easily if you have a windows vm (you can make one easily with virt-manager). Simply extract the .exe with 7zip and copy the adult.xp3 to your install directory (the .sig file is not needed). p7zip cannot do this for some reason.
Proton-6.19-GE-2
Works fine with proton-ge. Have not noticed any of the issues mentioned here.
