Did the "protontricks 985810 mfc42 mfc140 vcrun2019 dotnet40" and change the locale language to Korean to fix the missing korean font with launch options "LANG=ko_KR.UTF-8"
You can switch to other windows but had some issues switching to other windows while this game is still on top
Happened everytime if you moved out of the window while the game first loaded and the axis of the mouse might be drifted
For the missing fonts, i can't seem to make cjkfonts to fix the missing fonts. But i did install adobe source han and baekmuk on my system and also copied malgun font from windows and installed manually. Maybe you can try installing cjkfonts with protontricks and change the locale language to korea
Don't worry about getting banned as long as you did not violate their policies (Yes, i did asked this to them)
Even tested it with Proton-GE 6 and 6.1 and still the game does not run, and did the protontricks and still the game doesn't works
Looks Working but still having problem
I did the protontricks and used a cracked .exe and for sure the game is running but it always minimize the window. I actually successfully get into the game menu once but i didn't played it. Also the game will not process anything while in minimized and open the window but always gonna minimized itself. The performance it uses kinda weird since it's wasn't fully using all the resources for GPU like at max it only uses half of it. I use NVIDIA Reverse PRIME setup, on other games or apps it's fine

After the hospital mission it just went blank. Just like gentuser said that it needs a video file, and i decided to copy it from the game local file to its destination.
How To : Copy folder named 'master' from it's game local file and copy that folder to $HOME/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/MGS_TPP/ size of file is around 20 GB like nearly 100% of the game file size and after that everything works like a charm and you can play the next missions
Added New Specific Folder
Just like gentuser said, that you need a specific video to play after the mission 0, which is "$HOME/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/MGS_TPP/master/e2f9a1fda590d087.dat". What i did is just copy a all the file from folder master which located in "$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/MGS_TPP/master/" to "$HOME/.local/share/Steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/MGS_TPP/master/ . The size of file you're gonna copy about 24 GB or nearly 100% of the game file and the cutscene is working now
I don't know why, if i use Proton GE after the first mission or Phantom Limbs it will crash after you succesfully extracted with the helicoper, so i recommend you to use the stock Proton
You could connect to online mode but i never tested raiding other bases, also online mode sometimes disconeect itself
