Fully playable without any slowdowns, except a minor weird remapping bug
For some reason, some of the settings in the keyboard controls menu don't actually bind the thing they claim to. For example, setting 'Shoot' to Spacebar actually mapped Spacebar to 'Jump', while the 'Tank' setting defined the 'Shoot' button. This means defining controls can take a while, but everything else works perfectly fine.
I didn't try much with a gamepad, but it seems to be unaffected by this.
I'm also not fully sure whether this comes from Proton or not, but I'm assuming if it didn't it would've been fixed already.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
The launch option is not necessary, but it makes the game run a lot better, which is especially needed here, as the game invalidates your runs if there's too much lag. If you have better specs it might run well enough either way.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Had to hit it with the good old PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
, otherwise it crashed while loading
Proton Version: 7.0-6
Functions great, just adding new levels can be difficult the first time
Game works perfectly fine, the only issue is finding the folder where custom levels are stored. On Windows it's simply Documents/soundodger, but on Linux it's hidden in one of many virtual wine C drives, for me in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/247140/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/soundodger
. If that doesn't work you can still try searching the whole file system, though that could take a while.
