PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
Can't connect to their servers; so multiplayer is offline
I had to do a few things to get it to work. The primary thing was upgrading to mesa 22.1.0 (I think this is because of 6700 XT support). I'm on Manjaro, so I did this through pamac. I had to install the default and 32bit variants to get it to work. Additionally, it would not load with proton experimental, so I had to go to version 7.0-1. I haven't gotten too much time to play it since it took so long for me to figure it out... will update when I had more play time
Had to install mesa 22.1.0 drivers (both standard and 32bit)
Laggy beyond belief. I couldn't even set up an FPS counter since the steam overlay doesn't work.
Doesn't start on first boot, but works on second.
Update broke it, and tabbing kills everything
In general, Gunfire Reborn worked fine. The only thing to note was ALT-Tabbing had a tendency to freeze the screen (still can play just can't see). Restarting the game tended to work, but you'd lose your progress.
Today, there appeared to be an update. For my system, it caused a Unity error: 2018.4.20f1_008688490035 As such, the game no longer gets past the initial loading screen for me
Alt-Tab has been having some issues with re-entering the game doesn't show anything. Doesn't happen all the time though
The developers had a wonderful response to previous issues. One of their updates caused the game to not boot, but they were able to fairly quickly respond to the issue and send a patch out.
Would not start
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Tried a mix of Proton experimental, 9.0-3, 8.0-5, 5.0-10. Tried to mess with PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% as well. None of them started the game.
Immediate failure or close of the game. Error window contents listed below.
