Robot Unicorn Attack

Was unplayable with Proton 5.0-7. Both games were freezing/crashing at every loading/encounter/cutscene whatever launching option was set on.
Switching to Proton 4.11-13:
- FFX: run flawlessly.
- FFX-2: was freezing/crashing.
Setting launch option to
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
solved the problem and game is running like a charm!
FFX would occasionally launch with no sound, just relaunch the game and everything will be fine.
FFX-2 will missing a background texture on the save/loading window. The 3d map background in the destination menu is a bit glitchy but as texts are displayed well, it never bothered me.
The only downside is if you want to change video specs in the ingame menu (pressing esc) some options won't display well, so better modify the GameSetting.ini -> /SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/359870/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/SQUARE ENIX/FINAL FANTASY X&X-2 HD Remaster

Alt-Tab in FFX-2 will bring the desktop but can't interact with it.
No pb with FFX
Have to disable v-sync causing cutscene runing to fast with audio de-sync.
Modify GameSetting.ini
-> /steamapps/compatdata/595520/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE/
Change VSync=On to VSync=Off
- Launch the game at least one time to get capcom screen and blank screen.
- Close the game
- Get the last version of wine and winetricks.
For winetricks, if you happen to be using 19.04 or later, just run:
sudo apt install winetricks
sudo winetricks --self-update
Than run:
protontricks 304240 -q wmp11
it will automatically download 1.5gb of .exe files and install it.

Background music is crackling. It didn't bothered me but I understand it could for some players..
In case you need space, you can delete the .exe files downloaded by winetricks after installation. Location was for me: /home/user/.cache/winetricks/wmp11/
