That's it. The my.com launcher seems to be incompatible. I'm guessing the reason why this 'used' to work was back when it was still owned by gPotato and the launcher was compatible. Doesn't work at all, won't even load to the menu and cannot be run externally.

I had a bit of lag initially because my Wifi device was not properly supported by my distro (Pop_OS!) after swapping to wired ethernet these lag spikes disappeared completely. The game now runs flawlessly OOTB.

The game runs absolutely fine for me on Pop_OS! using Proton 7.0.1. It does NOT work at all for some reason when running the Native version.
Just play the game with Proton. The latest 7.0.1 works fine.
