Just make sure you select the 'Steam Linux Runtime' compatibility tool. Going straight for native may show issues or don't boot at all.
Analog stick was fine, but d-pad had 'up' and 'down' inverted, needing manual configuration.
Trying through Proton also works, but there's too much screen tearing that way.
Unless you like to play a game as if someone was constantly shaking your screen, wait for a fix.
V-sync cannot be enabled by conventional means; lots of screen tearing and jittering.
Game starts as windowed, can be set to fullscreen, but the menu glitches a little until it can be done.
Just plug more than one controller.
Launching straight from native wouldn't boot the game. Proton had mixed results. You need to enable Steam Linux Runtime through the compatibility tab inside of Steam.
Works perfectly out of the box, but be warned about native version
As mentioned, native version has trouble recognizing gamepads, whereas Proton showed no issues.
Besides minor issues, game runs flawlessly once configured.
Game starts windowed, with a menu bar at the top. You need to enable fullscreen there (or with 'alt' + 'enter'). Now, you'll have a fullscreen with a tiny window inside. Quit the game and reopen it. Then, you'll have proper fullscreen support with no tearing.
Before entering fullscreen, you need to use the window top menu to enable gamepad support.
Works out of the box, without tinkering
Game tends to crash if Steam Overlay is opened and left untouched for some time.
Just be cautious leaving Steam Overlay opened and untouched for long enough: game might crash. If you haven't been writing down the passwords, you might lose a big chunk of your progress.
Advertises controller support, but it doesn't work
Need to play using keyboard and mouse.
The game won't run through native Linux, even using Steam Linux Runtime. Proton is required. But gamepads won't be recognized, forcing you to play with keyboard and mouse, impairing the experience. Tried switching the game to beta branch. Still, no luck. Can't even use the keyboard to map the gamepad buttons.
