Install

The installation process from Steam works fine, so download and install Achron, and attempt to run it once before doing the following. You will be met with an error. This is expected. We need Proton to create some initialization files for this game first.

Game Files

Achron does not seem to be able to create its own folders, even if it can create/edit the files within them. The error this creates says that the home directory is unwritable or corrupted. You can fix this by going to

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/109700/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/

and creating a new directory named Achron. Within this Achron directory, you need to create another called profiles and replays.

Fonts

You will also need to installs some fonts. Run the following in your console:

WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX="/home/username-here/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/109700/pfx" winetricks

You will need to install:

corefonts
Tahoma
Lucida Console

The behavior of the situation is a lot difference since I tried it a year ago. Proton seems to have changed quite a bit!
