This game requires some tinkering to get cutscenes to work, I'm not sure what tinkering needs to be done, but it doesn't work out of the box
Game is unable to play any FMV cutscenes, which includes the background on the menu screen, the tutorials, and most crucially, the cutscenes between certain levels. This causes the game to hang when the video should end, therefore, this does not work.
Game runs like a breeze, it has a few stutters due to shader compilations, but as the shader pre-cache gets built, it should run fine.
This absolutely requires GE-Proton, since it has the nessecary video codecs to play the game. The game is prone to crashing and softlocking without these, and as such, can't be played without GE-Proton for the time being.
Game installs no files w/o forcing proton; even when forcing proton, game files do show up but nothing happens when launching.
Game doesn't work just yet unfortunately.
Same issues as I had on desktop; no files installed w/o forcing proton. When forcing proton, game does not launch whatsoever.
Game needs to be updated by the developer to support proton, unsure what's causing this.
Had to enable Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout) to play this game, otherwise works perfectly.
Game seems to run absolutely perfectly on Steam Deck. Haven't completed it, but I have gotten to World 2.
Changing the refresh rate of the screen slows the game speed down, as notable by the intro lagging behind the sound. There isn't any need to change the refresh rate anyways, but be sure it's set to 60hz!
Due to the graphical bugs I've encountered, the game isn't as enjoyable as when I played it on Windows via Game Pass initially.
CookiePL's SilentPatch
Whenever you're indoors, lighting may begin flickering in and out, and there's a great chance ghosting will occur, where a transparent frame will show up for a good second or two.
Switching the game to borderless window works.
I haven't seen any other reports talk about this; maybe it's due to the fact my laptop uses a hybrid GPU/dGPU set up, and I use prime-run to play the game. Either way, any Proton build I've tried doesn't seem to work.
