Recent update broke the game
An update on 3/22 broke the game, there's an immediate Windows crash report dialog box upon launching the game. I have tried running the game with various GE-Proton versions, stock Proton, and Proton Experimental with no luck. I've also tried it on both Pop!_OS and Fedora with both AMD and Nvidia GPUs with no success. Someone from Yager in their technical support Discord channel said that, "the patch on March 22...blocked TCF from running when one or more particular drivers were present in your environment," so some anti-cheat measure is probably detecting something it doesn't like while running under Proton.

Had no trouble running it with Flatpak Steam, using either Proton Experimental or Proton 8.0-2. Performance is great.

Game works quite well, but launcher has issues that need to be worked around to get by it.

TL;DR steps:
- Have 'Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime' installed in Steam
- Remove 'MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe' from game files
- Delete prefix in Steam's compat folder
- Run game again to generate new prefix, without Edge WebView2
- Need a 'user_setting.config' file (example in guide) placed in the AppData folder for the game, in order to get launcher to work.
- Have fun. Occasionally it won't launch and I have to restart Steam. It doesn't love being Alt-Tabbed out of either.
Occasional textures missing.
Had zero issues with authenticating for multiplayer with EAC or with matchmaking in general.
Game has worked well for a while now on regular Proton and GE-Proton, with no tinkering. Fatshark paid attention to early Linux workarounds posted in forums/reddit and specifically made some tweaks to accomodate the game running without tinkering on Linux/Steam Deck, which is nice.
