I'm sure it's works perfectly especially if you have hi-end hardware.
It's mostly fine. But sometimes audio just disappears for a second and then reappears again. Important note: Was met only at first hour of the game.
Mostly can't escape game with Alt-Tab. But when I managed to do it. It's pain to get back to the game. Borderless window is the solution for this.
There sometimes lags and fps drops from 50 to 10. But I think is because of my hardware is bad for this game.
I'm playing with almost everything high and with upscaling on.
Crashed once after half of an hour
Built-in upscaling is an amazing feature. My PC should be able run this game only at low settings. But with upscaling it runs with 40-60 fps most of the time with almost maxed settings.
Without upscaling it's just around 5-10 fps. Yes, upscaling makes picture kind of blurry, but you can easily get used to it.
Requires some strange tinkering but after that it playable enough. Borked without tinkering. Will crush at the black screen.
I'm relatively new in Linux gaming so i probably did some extra steps in my configuration but it works and there is my step-by-step solution that worked for me:
- Open protontricks and choose Fangs
- Install an application
- Cancell
- Run winecfg
- Change Windows version to Windows 10 and Ok
- Run uninstaller
- Remove both (i had 2) entries for Microsoft Visual C++ and Ok
- Install a Windows DLL or component
- Find
vcrun2019check it and proceed with installation ignoring winetricks errors. But if there is an error during installation, then I do not know what to do.
After that, you can try to launch the game. It will install some Unreal Engine stuff. Close the window after installation and start the game again. It should now work just fine.
Probably is a game problem because of Early Access. But might be some error with Proton.
Stutters at start of first 2-3 matches. Then it Ok for me. Playing in Low graphical settings.
Crashed after 6 games in the main menu.
Works fine. Little lag here and there, but most probably Early Access issue.
Should work fine on regular PC with occasional crashes.
Game will crash after Alt-Tab if you have fullscreen enabled. Borderless windows works fine, but I noticed some performance degradation
One game session game runs with stable 60 fps. Other game session it runs at about 30 fps. Can't understand why. It just happens.
Crashes randomly. Sometimes I'm able to play 5 missions before crush, sometimes it will crush multiple times at the same mission.
I didn't try different protons and used Steam default (which Proton Experimental, I belive). Maybe using GE version or some additional tools will fix crashes or performance issue.
