Since one of the latest SteamVR Updates the most VR Games on Windows are completely unplayable for me. They are extremely laggy and the tracking is completely broken. So I decided to switch to Linux for VR Gaming too. Now I regret that I haven't done this earlier. The performance is so much better and it runs almost perfectly. But you have to use the launch options "-novid -safe_mode". Otherwise it crashes right before the main menu.
Works out of the box
The first minute after loading a world is a bit laggy but after that it works fine. The only problem I found is that the build menu needs a few seconds to open ofter pressing G but thats not a big problem. Online and Mods work fine as well.
