When using the launch option
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
as recommended by other reports, the screen would be black with colored light effects occasionally flickering. The menu would be completely interactable, and sometimes downgrading the graphics setting would clear the error. Running the game with no launch options prevents this issue.
