As others note, on first area, it's got some heinously low res textures in the start. It's a theme park though so you don't miss anything, the same banners that were a bit too blurry to read outside are nice and sharp a minute or two later when you're in the park.
Defaulted to Epic settings -- FPS dipped down to like 15-20FPS, but I'm walking around an abandoned park, not running and gunning so I didn't find this an issue. If you DO turn down the graphics setitngs you'll want to turn the lighting quality back up -- the park has a lot of burned out light bulbs, the ones that DO work seem to cast less light the lower the lighting quality is set.
PROTOON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Stuttering, as though it was compiling shaders even though they should be precompiled. If the player is very close to the screen the "see through" affect gets like 5FPS.
I've had one crash.
As others said, I had to start out win Proton 7; then I found the character creation screen that the character didn't show up so I switched back to Proton 9. NOTE, to those who mix PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 with DXVK settings -- the WineD3D flag specially disables ALL use of dxvk, so those dxvk flags are doing absolutely nothing.
It's only a (per Youtube vid) 22 minute demo so far, but it crashes 5 minutes in.
It runs perfect, great performance and no crashes, until a load screen about 5 minutes in where it crashes. Per a Youtube walkthrough it's just before it would show "3 weeks later".
Too bad about the crash, the game is easily platinum quality other than that. Game is in early development though, I won't be surprised if it doesn't get it's first Steam patch and this crash goes away. I did try Proton Experimental, and -dx11 flag (which I have no idea if it does in fact switch it to DX11 or not), neither prevented a crash there.
