Potential sidenote: If you have to mess with graphical settings do it from the main menu rather than in game, when I tried, it kept crashing my entire system. Unsure if that is an error on my part. Game works pretty flawlessly after these tweaks.
I wasn't able to get protontricks to work, however, winetricks worked just fine, your WINEPREFIX folder is wherever your Steam folder is, so your terminal command will vary. My installation folder is default.
To fix audio, run: WINEPREFIX=/home//.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/976730/pfx winetricks dotnet40 win7
Note: You do not have to run dotnet40 if it is already installed. The game worked out of the box but has to be run in a Windows 7 compatibility layer for Halo: Reach and Halo 3 audio to work.

Noticed major input lag vs Windows, was fixed by adding NVIDIA DRM to grubconf and using the launch commands listed
Did not work on Garuda Hyprland regardless of what I did, but once I switched to Nobara the only other thing I did was reinstall NVIDIA driver 560.35.03.
