To make it work I had to lower the resolution down to 800 x 600 at 85Hz and it worked, there was the main screen of the game. Then gradually I started rising it up again until it worked on 1920x1080 at 144Hz. Then I did the same; I adjusted the resolution to 1920x1080; inside the game options and turned on fullscreen mode which worked perfectly for me.
