Authenticate with Steam does not work
The games is not able to authenticate with Steam.
Launcher of game starts but crashes after trying to start the actual game
Borderless shows Panel in XFCE.
The game runs with around 60 - 70 fps and it does not matter what settings you choose. Sometimes framerate dips below 10 fps.
Besides the annoying EA stuff (you will need an EA account) the game was pretty stable for the hour I 've played it. It takes a while to start (EA stuff thank you again). Here and there the framerate dropped below 10fps while playing and in general it probably should run better on my hardware but it did not crash. Controller support is good (xpadneo + XBox Wireless Controller). I've used Proton Experimental because it crashes with GE 48.
Game is borked after latest patch 1.0.20
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 mangohud %command%
The game worked until the latest patch 1.0.20 without any major problems. You had some random crashes and the game needed some attempts to start without crashing but as soon as you managed to get to the start screen it worked. I'm no longer able to get pass the shader build. Sometimes even the Launcher itself hangs.
I've played this with people using Windows and they had more crashes than me.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 mangohud %command%
Probably due to DLSS
Fullscreen tabbing kills the game for me. Fullscreen windowed is working great however.
It should run better on my Hardware, but I can't really complain. However RTX is switched off because it ran badly on my hardware in beta and the first few day of release.
Crashes while ingame and actually playing are very seldom. However the game used to freeze and crash regularly when chaging graphics settings. Setting are applied however.
Since the patch 1.0.20 I wasn't able to play the game. However I managed to rename the shader builder executable in the shader folder to get ingame again. Somehow this executable is not always necessary. Meanwhile I renamed it back and game game still starts.
As mentioned in an earlier report I wasn't able to play for some days shortly after patch 1.0.20 was released. I was able to workaround this by renaming the shader building executable in the shader folder. Last time I checked this workaround was no longer necessary. So it is working very good on Linux overall!
