Runs amazingly well and is a blast to play. No major inconveniences running on Linux.
Handful of crashes during 2hrs of gameplay, always after stage or death
Outside of the quality of the game and options the experience is stable on Linux
Button prompts were keyboard and menus could only be navigated via touchscreen / touchpad mouse.
Beyond the flaws from the game being a terrible to control and play platformer the technical aspects felt no worse from playing via Proton on Linux/Steam Deck.
Fully playable, no issues experienced
Flawless experience without tinkering throughout the 5hrs it took for 100% completion.
Had to rename "dorke and imp.exe" to "dorke and ymp.exe"
Had to remap controller via Game > Configure controls... > Default Gamepad
No issues experienced after exe and controller were corrected.
Game starts in a smaller/low resolution window. Expanding to fullscreen still leaves black bars.
A single hard freeze during the 2 hours I spent to complete the game.
Completely playable from 0-100% without any major issues. The singular crash/freeze I had was minor and with regular saves should be low impact. I saw no issues specific to Proton and Linux/Steam Deck that reduced my enjoyment of the game.
Started game for the first time on Deck and played to 100% completion without a single issue experienced.
Some minor button mappings needed to make it playable, but overall a fine experience on Deck.
Had to set button for power up use.
Menu objects missing for sectors and other misc video tiles. No impact to playability.
Game does not recognize Steam Deck as controller. Buttons not mapped properly and button prompts are for keyboard. Poor experience out-of-box, but playable with changes.
Minor frame hitches during gameplay, uncommon and minor enough to not impact gameplay.
Fully Playable, no issues
Outside of the poor quality of the platforming/game itself my experience was flawless on Linux/Proton.
Game installs, EA app installs, but attempts to launch the game are met with "You don't have access." Game was completely non-functional due to 3rd party launcher. Attempted restart, signing out and back in (EA app + Steam), clearing cache, and verifying integrity with no change. Game itself may run, but I wasn't even able to get past EA.
Fully playable, no issues experienced
Flawless experience without tinkering even with leaving it idling/in the background for extended periods.
Opens and flickers on version 7.0-6, unplayable in current state.
Crashes on current default Proton version (9.0-4). Opens to black screen on Experimental or GE. May be playable on AMD or with the correct tinkering, but I will not be continuing to troubleshoot.
Flawless Stability and Performance
Zero issues at 25 hours and counting.
