Using Proton experimental, it installed and ran with no fuss; played to completion with no noticeable technical problems.
Its native resolution is 800x600 and my desktop is 1920x1280, so the game was only using the upper left quadrant while the rest of the screen stayed black. Easy workaround: changed desktop resolution to 800x600 so it utilized the full screen.
Could only use alt-tab after selecting "full screen" inside the game's settings menu, after which it popped out to it's own window.
It required a user ID and security key at launch. After some research, I learned this is in the game's "install.vdf" file (home/.steam/steam/steamapps/[Game File]/); which can be opened with a text editor and the keys were where the [ ]'s are here:
"###SET#PROPERTY_USERID#[ ]#SET#PROPERTY_GAMELICENSE#[ ]"
Alternatively, you must contact the company and wait for them to send the keys.
