Required renaming two .exe files (.steam/steamapps/common/BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced/Binaries/Win64)
Rename Launcher.exe to anything and rename BorderlandsGOTY.exe to Launcher.exe
Change in game setting 'Framerate Locking' from 'Smoother 22-62' to a higher setting to eliminate low FPS/stutter.
Using "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1" allowed the game to launch, without would just give an error.
As many other users have mentioned, mouse movement is very janky, supposedly caused by mouse polling rate. (Newbie to Linux, wasn't capable of making a script to fix change/fix this)
People mentioned using a controller but my Dualshock 4 had the same issue with camera movement. Arrow keys worked fine however.
Game initially ran with minor stuttering, added commands to launch options: 'PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 WINEESYNC=0 mesa_glthread=true %command%'
Works perfectly out of the box, just link your Steam account on RuneScape website beforehand
Most have recommended adding the command: 'PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%'.
Game worked for me with or without the command, however appeared to be smoother with the command. Overall game was perfect.
