The game hangs indefinitely at the initial loading screen after setting resolution/input/etc. The game seems overall broken for Linux.
Also did the same on the native port, and with all versions of Proton tested (5.2 and upwards, including GE versions.)
Changing resolution in full-screen mode did not work as expected, requiring switching to windowed and back to apply.
Performance drops significantly if frequently tabbing in/out of the game on fullscreen, or when changing resolutions, in some cases dropping from 130fps down to only 17. Restarting the game will resolve this.
Multiplayer hosting does work (except on 6.12-GE-1), but do note that if you have libvirtd installed then you'll need to disable the libvirt network prior to launching the game. This is done via the command: virsh net-destroy default (as root, prepend sudo if need be) It seems to be that many games through Proton will bind their STUN servers to the libvirtd network rather than the correct wired/wireless interface, causing any multiplayer hosting to fail.
Performance is too spotty and degraded for enjoyment, at least from my perspective. (sub-60fps outside of heavy areas)

Framerates between 30-50 with significant stuttering, versus 90-100+ if running natively on Windows.
