Works out the box.
The 'Advanced Hair' option for players' figures did not function properly and could not be used.
I have yet to gradauate to any of the online competitive options but the core functionality of standing on the tee and hitting the ball works exactly as it should. Graphics quality is good if I use the built-in option to cap the FPS at 30 to suit my relatively modest hardware. At 60fps it stutters, which affects the timing of striking the ball. When uncapped it's not playable for me with high-quality graphics settings. The game has never crashed on me.
Works perfectly with wired USB Logitech Dual Action Gamepad.
Unplayable with Bluetooth XBox controller (model 1914) because Swing Timing is uncontrollable (reported either Very Fast or Very Slow, never in-between).
I would love to hear from anyone who runs it successfully with the Bluetooth XBox controller. I'll echo this on Discord.
I have recently discovered that the game doesn't start with Proton 8.0: ie it will not run with the new Sniper runtime. It still runs perfectly with Proton 7.0-6 which seems to use the Soldier runtime.
