Despite the minor lag during camera panning, performance for the most part was acceptable.
Panning the camera was often often with frame dips. Doesn't compare favourably to experience on Windows. Not bothersome enough to investigate improvements though.
Emphasing that the issue described didn't detract from the game's experience or immersion. Subjective opinion, naturally.
Game didn't run on stock Proton (7.03?) - had to use GE for game to start.
Worked great out of box. Capped FPS at 60 (think it was default?)
One crash. Did clip through map once, but probably a game bug.
Game played great, 4K res on an OLED. Use Xbox Elite2 controller which worked flawlessly.
Played perfect out of the box. No adjustments needed.
Played with Xbox Elite2 controller. Played flawlessly.
Game is fully enjoyable and no real issues that would ruin immersion. Proton 7.03 (stock).
MS Gothic font required. Installed from Ubuntu repo
Game had a code error when winning ranked against Ao with Inari, in Islamon. Worked around it by winning against another competitor and then coming back to Ao. 0 issues otherwise.
MS Gothic font is required. Think of it as a dependency. Game wasn't otherwise 'tinkered' for playability.
FPS capped at 60fps per config. Can remember only one or two occasions in 90hrs where it dipped notably, and this during intense fights.
Sync issues are very mild and only during cutscenes, from my limited experience before changing to GE-Proton. 7-27 had best outcome in terms of sync. Almost perfect - only noticeable when paying close attention.
Audio has less sync on 7.03/experimental during cutscenes. Was tolerable but strived for improvement. Very little effort to install GE, so worth the time invested.
