Text can be a bit small but no issues for me personally.
Units can sometimes appear as black silhouettes when far away.
Using the built in Pbem++ system works fine.
The game works great but you will definitely need to set up your own custom control scheme if you want to get the most of it. Some performance issues and artifacting but given the ancient tech that this game runs on it isn't surprising. The game runs poorly on a high end gaming PC too, but locking the FPS to something lower (30-40 FPS) results in a smooth enough experience.
Some small text but not an issue for me personally.
Steam Cloud saves are broken and won't sync despite them working fine in CM: Fortress Italy.
Works fine using the built in Pbem++ system.
The game plays great when properly set up with a custom control scheme. The engine this runs on runs notoriously poorly even on high end gaming PCs so it is best to limit the FPS to something along the lines of 30-45 FPS to get it more stable.
Steam cloud saves are broken even though Combat Mission: Fortress Italy has no such issues. It appears to be random which games in the series work and which don't.
I observed no issues with the game after a couple of hours of playing. Works out of the box with zero tinkering. Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes appears to be suffering from some sort of save game issue (I don't own the game myself) but I did not experience that with Crusaders.
The game should not be considered platinum by any means. Looks very bad and runs very poorly.
