Game starts (YES, I can pass the EAC screen), but crashes right after showing the cursor
I've made a modification in my game version. Since EAC support for Steam Proton comes out, I've searching a way to update non-updated games.
What I did:
- installed Fortnite through Lutris
- copied the EasyAntiCheat folder from Fortnite to Fall Guys directory
- replaced the Certificates and Launcher folders inside EasyAntiCheat with the Fall Guys' original ones
- deleted the 1097150 folder inside Steam's compatdata folder
- Started the game from Steam library
Now, the EAC loader passes, but I stuck on a black screen with the pink cursor for some seconds, then game crashes.
It opens, but stay at first loading screen forever
After following steps on https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2787044978 game opens very well, but, right after clicking "START!" button, it enters an loading screen and stills here. I've waited more than 30 minutes into this screen.
Game starts, but EAC not initialized
I'm able to start the game and see the main menu. But, when I try to click "Play", there is a popup saying "Anti-cheat is not initialized.", and can't start a match.
The game is working perfectly, but has a bug (not exclusive for Proton, is on all platforms) the game can't open. On Linux, I needed to do some steps:
- Delete ~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/446560 folder |
- Delete ~/.steam/steamapps/common/Just Dance 2017/Support/Uplay/UplayInstaller.exe file |
- Download latest UplayInstaller.exe from Ubisoft's website |
- Put downloaded UplayInstaller.exe inside ~/.steam/steamapps/common/Just Dance 2017/Support/Uplay/[here] |
- Add "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" in Properties > Set Launch Options... |
- Start game normally from Steam |
If you just installed the game and doesn't tried to open it, the folder [...]/compatdata/446560 not exists, so you can ignore step 1.
Resuming... Game is working like a charm, but has a bug Ubisoft needs to fix (just change the Uplay installer). In Windows, I needed to uninstall Uplay (that comes with the game) and re-install it manually downloading the installer from Ubisoft's website.
Some people are saying it's working with Proton 3.16-5, but still not working for me (still on "Initializing..." screen and never opens RGSC). I tried to re-install it several times, and, if I run MP3 normally, it won't open. I need to add "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" to launch options to get game opening (and sadly staying on "Initializing..." screen).
Runs perfectly after adding "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command" in Properties > Set Launch Options.
