The game crashes far too often. Crashes lose a lot of progress and often reset video settings.
Game crashes anywhere from 1-20 minutes with an Access Violation
I have tried every stock version of Proton, multiple kernels, Steam Runtime and Native. Tried BIOS defaults, updated BIOS, updated drivers. Tried OGL and Vulkan. This game runs perfectly fine in Windows 10 on the same machine, but I cannot get it to run stable on Linux.
Good performance, no sign of any issues. Played through Savannah area.
The game has a unique way of coupling the frame rate and physics, resulting in very rare stutter when the physics rate decouples from the framerate (this also happens in Windows). Otherwise a smooth, locked 60 fps. As mentioned in another report, you can adjust the physics rate to get higher fps, but I experienced intermittent crashes when doing this. Game was 100% stable at 60fps for upward of 8 hours of play.
Personally used MangoHud's fps_limit at 60 + freesync, but vsync should work fine as well.
Works great. Close to Windows performance. Was originally using this same version of Proton on Kubuntu 18.04 and the game would not start in Steam. After upgrading to 19.04, the game works fine with this Proton version.
