Wouldn't launch
It wouldn't launch with any version of proton available from the menu. With some versions, it would say the executable was missing, so I copied all files from my Windows partition (the install folder was completely empty). Still no launch.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D required for best performance, along with a fairly new machine if you need the best graphics
unable to run 4k without significant slowdown
I had to install VC++ manually (protontricks 526870 vc2017)
When in windowed fullscreen, alt-tab won't hide the window.
Mouse input was (rarely) limited. Fixed by reloading
stuttering when loading game, need disappointing graphics settings
I have this game installed on an external HDD, which for some reason (according to some googling) is a significant problem with newer versions of Proton and why I had to use such an old version. If installed on internal media, it seems people have far fewer issues.
