Some slight slowdown and trouble generating custom maps. It ran fine, but it could be better.
Customizing world generation slowed the computer until I forced the game closed, and I felt it ran choppier than it should have in general.
Hangs on the loading screen before starting the main game loop.
I tried the tricks I knew. Disabling esync, GE version of Proton, and feral gamemode. All did nothing. Older versions of Proton froze sooner in the process.
Checking into the logs: it gets late in the point where it's loading the game, and then has a runtime error, breaking just before it gets out of the BIOS-like screen. Something about audio.getDuration complaining invalid sound object "00000000" while running the Solar2d function audio.loadStream().
Just won't work.
I've gotten the same errors as everyone else.
Running vanilla it hung on the pre-loading. The mod checking step. I slept on it and found it still running, so clearly not simply slow.
I tried to tinker a bit, but feral gamemode simply got me to the next step where I got the error message others have reported.
It mostly works, but the periodic slowdown requires me to keep resetting. The cutscenes also are incredibly choppy.
Occasionally will slow to the point of being unplayable, and I have to quit to menu for it to be playable again.
It's playable, but you need to be stubborn about it to keep going through the game.
