Native version has extreme performance problems on my PC, especially in levels with rain or snow in the background. Forcing Proton seems to have solved the issue. I tried this solution a couple days ago as well without success so I'm not sure why it suddenly decided to work, but I am guessing there was probably a bug with Steam not properly updating the game to use Proton.
After restarting the game I started experiencing extreme performance issues again. I am still not sure what causes this issue but it seems it's not specific to the native version or Proton. Nothing has happened outside the game between closing it and reopening it, no reboots, no updates, etc. The time I had without issues was enough for me to make it to the end of the game but if these issues are going to appear at seemingly random times then I cannot recommend the game as I personally am experiencing it.
Game works perfectly, except one small issue
Game works exactly as expected, fully playable and everything seems to be working. Only issue I encountered is when closing the game it would freeze instead until forcibly closed, but this could also be the fault of my system itself, as this is a native game. Actual gameplay is unchanged, and it seems to save correctly as well.
java -jar tametsi.exe %command%
Top bar and Dash to Panel in GNOME are not hidden in fullscreen
Had to add java -jar tametsi.exe %command% to the launch options to get the game to launch via Steam, but after that I have not encountered any issues. Only problem is fullscreen does not seem to work correctly, as the top bar and dash to panel are not hidden on GNOME. I can't speak for other DEs or WMs.
Forced use of Proton (8.0-4) and selected "Play OpenGL" at startup.
Native build does not seem to work, but after forcing the use of Proton and selecting "Play OpenGL" at startup the game seems to run perfectly. I haven't tried to play the game with any other versions of Proton, but I suspect they will work just as well.
